Education and Science

Education about Jewish life in Europe goes beyond historical facts and academic knowledge. It is about people, their everyday experiences, individual thoughts, and feelings. That is why we develop real-life educational projects that do not lecture, but rather facilitate genuine encounters among equals.

JEWLIF promotes collaboration between educational institutions, academia, and society. Because it is from one another that we can learn the most, wherever we are. At the heart of our work is the interactive provision of insights into diverse realities of Jewish life. To this end, we champion inclusive educational initiatives that support Jewish identities, counteract antisemitism, and foster a democratically engaged civil society.

Further objectives include the establishment of an international research network, practice-oriented conference and publication series, as well as the development of a digital educational platform that makes extracurricular learning resources, specifically designed to counter antisemitism, seamlessly accessible to a broad target audience of educators.
